Welcome to my sailing and cycling blog.
I am a consultant specialising in the technologies used by humanitarian organisations (NGOs and UN). Before starting up as a consultant in 2025, I spent nearly 26 years in the aid sector working for Merlin and Save the Children International.
I am a keen sailor and cyclist and from time to time, I like to take on cycling challenges to raise money for good causes. My first major fundraising ride was from London to Paris in 2009. This was followed up with a longer London to Africa ride in 2013.
For each adventure, I keep a blog so that followers can share my journeys.
